From Friends of the Modesto Library –
Oct. 19-25 is National Friends of Libraries Week and we’re celebrating! You’re invited to help me welcome our special guest, mystery author Cornelia Read, to the Friends of the Modesto Library’s Novel Open House and Book Exchange this Wednesday, October 22.
Read, the author of the Edgar-nominated novel A Field of Darkness (2007) and The Crazy School (2008) will talk about her books and her life as a writer. She’ll also read from her work and sign books afterward. All proceeds from the sale of Read’s books will benefit the Friends of the Modesto Library, a group that supports programming, services, and materials for the Modesto Library.
We providing a space for a book exchange, so plan to haul down your gently-used novels to share with others. Also available: sweet treats and Starbucks coffee for all you die-hard caffeine addicts. This event is free and open to the public.
